Intelligent EMU management:
- at every emu install it checks on the server and if there is a new version you can install it
- in the emu start/stop menu you can see only what you have installed
- you can't install an emu if you don't remove it previously (for those already installed of course)
- the partition with the label "RECORD" is automatically mounted on /hdd/movie; the other partition are mounted in /tmp/[device]
- when mounting the HDD you can see only valid Linux partition
- it supports cifs; you have to enable it in the menu and edit the configuration file (var/config/amnt.cfg) with the ip of the pc,
user and password used to login and the folder name you want mounted.
- Settings update from menu (RSP>Installer>Update Seting> )

Va rog daca se poate sa postati un "How to" pentru instalarea imaginii in flash sau pe stick pentru IPBOX-9000HD.
Sunt nou in domeniu (IPBOX), insa posed DM-7000s printre primele aparute, asa ca stiu cate ceva...

multumesc pentru raspunsul prompt si amabil, insa acel how to l-am citit si incercat, insa este facut special pt 900 si 910, nu am reusit sa trec peste pasul 1c si m-am gandit daca nu cumva trebuie un config special pt 9000.

cathedral e in bransa de destul de mult timp si nu merita sa fie tratat astfel, iar eu ma voi gandi mai bine data viitoare daca recomand prietenilor sa lase rdi si sa caute ajutor pe forumurile competente, ca vad ca iar am picat la mijloc :|

iti zic cum am eu, cu hdd dar e tot aia si cu stick, daca nu ai hdd inauntru. daca totusi ai hdd e mai bine sa-l folosesti, e mai rapid decat orice stick.

0. se baga stick in stb.
1. telnet ip_box si te logezi.
2. se demonteaza partitia "umount -f /dev/sda2" asta in caz ca e montata se verifica cu "df -h"
3. "fdisk /dev/sda"
4. "p" vezi cate partitii ai pe stick
5. le stergi pe toate "d" [enter] "1" [enter] si tot asa pana stergi toate partitiile (sunt de la 1 la 4 cele primare)
6. te apuci sa creezi partitiile de care ai nevoie, "n"[enter]"p"[enter]"1"[enter][enter]"+500M"[enter] si ai creat prima partitie
7. si tot asa creezi si partitia 2 "n"[enter]"p"[enter]"2"[enter][enter]"+500M"[enter]
8. partitia 3 "n"[enter]"p"[enter]"3"[enter][enter]"+500M"[enter]
9. partitia 4 "n"[enter]"p"[enter][enter][enter] (aici nu mai zici numarul partitiei deoarece pot fi maxim 4 partitii primare)
10. "p" unde ar trebui sa-ti arate ceva de genul:

11. eu folosesc prima partitie ca si swap, e bine sa-l ai, astfel trebuie sa face tipul primei partitii linux swap "t"[enter]"1"[enter]"82"[enter] daca mai dai odata "p" o sa arate astfel:

64 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1015 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 3968 * 512 = 2031616 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x027e67c3

12. acum scri tabela de partitii in mbr "w"[enter] in acelasi timp va iesi din fdisk dupa ce scrie tabela de partitii:

Command (m for help): w
The partition table has been altered!

Calling ioctl() to re-read partition table.
Syncing disks.

13: acum le formatam:
- "mkswap /dev/sda1"[enter]
- "mkfs.ext3 -b 4096 /dev/sda2"[enter]
- "mkfs.ext3 -b 4096 /dev/sda3"[enter]
- "mkfs.ext3 -b 4096 /dev/sda4"[enter]
14. acum trebuie sa le punem label, altfel imaginea din flash le va sterge si crea cum vrea el, nu vrei asta, crede-ma
- "e2label /dev/sda2 ext3"[enter]
- "e2label /dev/sda3 ext3"[enter]
- "e2label /dev/sda4 ext3"[enter]
15. pui enigma pe partitia 3 sa zicem:
- "mount /dev/sda3 /mnt/usb/"[enter]
16. iei clientul preferat de ftp, si pui arhiva cu Enigma in /mnt/usb/
17. "cd /mnt/usb/"[enter]
18. "tar xzvf release_031_cuberevo_mini2.tar.gz"[enter] asta daca pui enigma de la sif, altfel cum ii zice la arhiva ta, astepti pana termina de dezarhivat, "sync" ca sa scrie din cache.
19. "cd /"[enter] "umount /dev/sda3"[enter]
20. inainte asigura-te ca ai un cablu null modem intre PC si ipbox si ai deschis putty pe consola "reboot -f" iar cand apare ca booteaza apesi "ctrl+z" ca sa intrerupi procesul de bootare.
21. schimbi cativa parametri de bootare:

saveenv

power off, power on si astfel daca apesi butonul 1 la boot va porni din flash, daca apesi butonul 2 la boot va porni enigma de pe partitia 3 iar daca apesi pe butonul 3 va porni enigma de pe partitia 4.

schimba ip-urile dupa nevoile tale.
