How to set Enigma2 on usb-stick : A littleguide

Many people have problems with instalation of Enigma2 on USB stick. Thanks to my friend DDamir from satelite forum, I have no more problem. This is little guide how to set Enigma2 on USB stick:

1. Shut down IPBox, switch off, no standby
2. Put in box usb stick on which we will install enigmu2 (valid for any of the enigma that is going to stick)
3. Switch on IPBox
4. Because of "nonsense" formatting USB port that works, "sbox" from the flash image and make it to flash the first time on your way to initialize and formatted
5. IPBOX be started and you have a program on TV and only now remove usb-stick from a box.
6. Wait 10 seconds and again ustekajte usb-stick in ipbox
7. follows from part telnet - telnet lift and log in IPBOX
8. Commanders type "cd / tmp"
9. type „mount“, and you will get more details about all mounted item
10. on the paper you write tag stick and which is located under the option "/ dev/sda1 on / mnt/usb/usb0 type ext2 (rw, sync)" - means "sda1"
11. type "umount /mnt/usb/usb0" and you will virtal unhook usb stick
12. Now type "mkfs.ext2 /dev/sda1" this command formats stick, sda1 you remember is mark of stick under number 10.
13. When formatting is finished, you can type command "mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb/usb0", sometimes, box already did it
14. Now is time to move Enigma from PC to usb stick – Total commander or any other FTP program
15. You have to move Enigma to ipbox folder mnt/usb/usb0
16. when we switched enigma closed ftp program and return to the telnet
17. type command "cd /mnt/usb/usb0" to enter in folder where is tar.gz file of enigma
18. to check it type "ls -aln" and see , if all is OK, if yes, we will see our file tar.gz
19. type "tar xzvf name of enigma2" - for example enigma2_cuberevo_mod_PKT.tar.gz
20. there will not be any message about error if tar.gz file iz ok. If no download it again from net
21. now follow very important command type "sync", and wait to appear again prompt in telnet
22. Now shut down IPBox switch off, no standby, and wait about 30 sec., one who has a diode on USB-Stick must wait until it is not turned off


This is the most important thing - many people are impatient and immediately removed stick or puts out the power-off button on the back of a IPBOX.
"SBOX" writes the data only after it shuts down properly, "swap" in the memory and sinchronised all data with all connected systems.
Now you have usb stick with enigma2 on.

Be careful about spaces when typing in the telnet, and type without “”.

There is his little program to set environment for ipbox, and you need no serial cable. But I have no wrights to put attachment here.

Ceea ce este extrem de important si nu se spune deloc in tutorialul de mai sus este ca e necesar sa ai instalat "usb_welcome.img" ca sa mearga boot-ul de pe stick (faza cu apasatul butonului 2 de la telecomanda este implementata in imaginea "welcome").

Asadar, pt a pune usb_welcome.img pe IPBox (910HD in cazul meu), trebuie intai formatat un stick cu fat32 (daca ai pus enigma pe stick si nu ai welcome, ai facut totul degeaba, daca nu ai alt stick) si pus pe el imaginea welcome sub forma de fisier, cu numele:

usb_update.img

Si operatiunea obisnuita de flash de pe stick:
Se pune stick-ul in IPBox-ul oprit de la butonul din spate.
Se apasa SI SE TINE APASAT butonul frontal de pornire/oprire, apoi se porneste IPBoxul de la comutatorul spate, in continuare tii apasat butonul frontal de pornit/oprit pana vezi pe display ca scrie "USB UPGRADE". Atunci poti sa-i dai drumul la butonul frontal de pornire/oprire si isi face el treaba. Cand scrie DONE pe display e gata.

Pt pus e2 pe stick eu am facut mai simplu:

1. Formatat pe PC (linux) stick-ul cu ext3
2. Bagat stick in IPBox
3. Verificat daca e montat, cu comanda mount in telnet. Daca apare "/dev/sda1 /mnt/usb/usb0" e ok
4. Am pus pe stick (in /mnt/usb/usb0) prin ftp enigma2 pt stick in format tar.gz
5. Dat comanda sync in telnet
6. In telnet: cd /mnt/usb/usb0
7. In telnet: tar xzvf enigma2.tar.gz
8. In telnet: sync (eu de obicei dau de 2-3 ori sync, normal tre sa ajunga o singura data)
9. Oprit IPBox-ul de la butonul din spate
10. Am pornit de la butonul din spate si am tinut apasata tasta 2 de la telecomanda pana am vazut ca citeste de pe stick (led-ul de la stick clipea), daca nu ai led la stick, tine 2-ul apasat pana se schimba mesajul din afisaj.

Dupa asta mi-am prins urechile. Cum bootez imaginea de pe flash (sifteam 8873)? Am facut procedura cu apasat 1 din telecomanda cand pornesc de la butonul din spate, dar nu merge, scrie BOOTING la nesfarsit iar ledul din butonul frontal de pornit/oprit clipeste continuu.

Stie cineva sa-mi spuna unde gresesc ?

Aceasta procedura este valabila si pentru instalarea PKT E2 usb stick ,ca eu pana acum am instalat varianta PKTE2 pt. flash si as vrea sa incerc si asa .si ar mai fi ceva de unde iau "usb_welcome.img"

Acest ghid este tocmai pentru varianta pe USB stick.
Si poti pune orice varianta de Enigma2,indiferent de la ce team vine.
Am probat 3 variante(Pkt mod,AAF summer-dream si Sifteam)
Cea mai stabila versiune si cea mai "cool" este AAF summer-dream,facuta de nemti.
"usb_welcome.img" este un multiboot pt. IPbox si va trebui sa folosesti o versiune pt IPbox-ul tau.
Nu cred ca am voie sa postez linkuri catre alte forumuri de unde poti sa descarci multiboot-ul,asa ca l-am urcat eu pe Megaupload :
