Cei de la Eutelsat nu sunt in criza de sateliti, de si HotBird 9 nu a ajuns sa fie pozitionat la 13E cei de la Eutelsat lanseaza un nou satelit pentru aceiasi pozitie orbitala 13E , oare de ce doi sateliti unul dupa celalant in m,ai putin de cateva lunii? Posibil ca unul din sateliti vechii sa fie mutat la alta pozitie orbitala, posibil.

HOT BIRD 10 is a high-power satellite equipped with 64 Ku-band transponders. Built by prime contractor EADS Astrium on its Eurostar E3000 spacecraft bus, the spacecraft has a launch mass of 4,892 kg., and it is identical to Eutelsat's HOT BIRD(tm) 9 - which was orbited on the year-ending 2008 mission of Ariane 5 on December 20. HOT BIRD 10 is earmarked for cable and satellite broadcasting duties at Eutelsat's flagship "video neighborhood" orbital slot of 13 deg. East.

The entry into service of Hot Bird 9 will also release Eutelsat’s Hot Bird 7A satellite from its original mission at 13° East. Hot Bird 7A will be redeployed to Eutelsat’s new broadcasting position for Europe at 9° East, thereby raising the number of operational transponders here from 20 to 38. Eighteen months after opening for business this orbital location is already transmitting 150 channels, including 18 HDTV channels. Its proximity to the Hot Bird neighbourhood enables homes equipped for DTH reception to receive channels from 13° East and 9° East using a dual-feed dish

Daca nu intervine nimic care sa duca la amanarea acestei lansari in aceasta seara este.

16 min peste lansare ... totul e ok ! ... in curand va urc si filmuletu cu lansarea pt cei pasionati care au omis-o !

lansare a fost o reusita . Au fost lansati 2 sateliti cu aceiasi racheta ( vad ca este la moda ) = HOTBIRD 10 si NSS 9 ! primul va merge la 13 grade , dar in prima faza va functiona o perioada la 7 grade West , pt ca vor sa dezvolte un pic si acoperirea satelitilor pentru orientul mijlociu , al doilea NSS 9 va merge la 177 grade west.

With the upcoming entry into service of HOT BIRD™ 9 Eutelsat can continue to pursue its
strategy of optimising its overall in-orbit resources. Prior to joining 13 degrees East HOT
BIRD™ 10 will consequently be deployed to 7 degrees West to expand capacity at this key
neighbourhood for broadcasting in the Middle East. Eutelsat began operating at 7 degrees
West in 2006 with the ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4 satellite copositioned with the two satellites
operated by the Egyptian operator Nilesat. As a replacement to ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4, HOT
BIRD™ 10 will significantly boost Eutelsat’s resources at this position.
Eutelsat’s expansion plan for 7 degrees West will move into its third phase in mid-2011 with
a high-capacity satellite called ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4-R which the Group has confirmed it will
shortly procure.
