Just finished my 0.2 version of a shoutcast plugin.
At least an image with 8728 version of sbox is required!!!
I only tested on NLB-8728, and official DGS image.
The lists and stations are all coming from the shoutcast server, so there is no control (yet) over its contents. When selected a large genre (like Pop) it can take a few seconds to receive all stations from the server.
The binary version is attached with this post, but prior to uploading unzip it on your pc and upload the shoutcast.tar.gz to your box (as explained in the readme below).

a working libmxml.so.1.4 has to be in /var/lib including symlinks to libmxml.so.1 and libmxml.so
libmxml is not included in the source distribution. In the binary release, the lib is included.
From release 0.2 this plugin only works on R8728 and probably newer.
Installation:

From the binary distribution:
Upload the shoutcast.tar.gz file to /tmp
telnet to the box and enter the following commands:
cd /
tar -zxvf /tmp/shoutcast.tar.gz
And the plugin is installed.

Usage
===================
After loading you get a list of all genres that are available on the shoutcast server
The following keys can be pressed:
Up - up one entry
Down - down one entry
Left - down 10 entries
Right - up 10 entries
Ok - go into the genre
A list of stations will be shown. Keys are as with the genrelist.
After OK a list of streams from that radio station are shown
Pressing OK on a streams starts playing it.
The exit key will get you back one list, or stops the playing.
The order of the lists are determined by the shoutcastserver (based on popularity)
The number of genres as well, so there are quite a lot of them

Fixed bugs:

- Choppy sound is fixed by using a different api
- A lot of unsupported streams from version 0.1 are now supported
- Redirected streams should not occur if you select a non full stream.
This can be prevented by selecting a stream that is not full (in the browser you see two numbers
between () which mean (current no of listeners/max listeners) if the first number is smaller
than the second, the stream won't redirect.
Known bugs:

- after playing a shoutcast stream you cannot use the built-in mp3 player anymore untill you reboot
- The end of lists aren't detected, so don't go past the end of the list as this will give a panic.
Especially when using the right button.

1)Facem unzip pe file care e mai jos.
2)copiam pe shoutcast.0.2.1.tar.gz la /tmp
3)pornim pe telnet si scrim cd/
4)dupa scrim tar -zxvf/tmp/shoutcast.0.2.1.tar.gz
Se instaleze si il gasim la menu la plug in...Are cu categoriisi contine si o gramada de statiunii romaneste.Cred ca e cel mai bun plugin...

Changes:
- exit key is replaced by menu key, this is the same way as
DGS handles the keys. Further more to exit the plugin press
menu multiple times.
- Pg up an down now working like right and left

- responsivness of remote control, stopping a stream might take
up to 2 seconds, depending on the stream.

shoutcast.0.4 Release
Added features:
- bookmarking is now supported, press blue button to go into bookmark list
to go back to normal list press blue again (always returns to
genrelisting).
The functions of the keys are printed in the bottom of the plugin window.
A lot of thanks to Pacco for implementing this.

The screensaver is a very very simple screensaver, showing the songtitle and bitrate on the screen jumping around in a box. The rate at which is controlled by the stream, with most streams the box jumps a bit in the first 15 seconds. The screensaver can be turned on or off from the config file.
I am a horrible graphical artist (although I tend to design beautifull sailingyachts, but that is not like drawing pictures) so I just took the script plugin picture and added the text Shoutcast Plugin to it. This picture can be replaced if one likes to. The background picture can be turned on or off from the config file and also the filename and location can be changed from the config file.
For more info, see the README included in the zip file, and after installation of the plugin see the shoutcast.config file in /var/plug-in it is documented.
Installation as usual: unzip the attached zip file on a windows pc. upload the shoutcast.tar.gz file to your box in /tmp and then run "tar -zxvf shoutcast.tar.gz"
Bugreports as usual on this forum.
Have fun with it, and of course you can still vote for 0.4 even if 0.5 is out.
Bug fixed:
- choppy sound after the songtitle has changed (and subsequent panic)
There was another bug that Alfi reported, but I cannot reproduce it at my box, could you please test this version Alfi? I think I know what causes it, but as I cannot reproduce it, it is hard to tell if I fixed it.
