Compania ARD/ZDF a reinceput testarea HDTV. Programele ARD HD, ZDF HD shi Eins Festival HD vor fi trasmise FTA pe Astra (19,2°E) pana la inceputul 2010. Cu program regulat vor incepe sa transmita odata cu inceperea Jocurilor Olimpice de iarna din Vankuver, Kanada, in februarie 2010.

Toate trei canale HD vor transmite identic cu cele SD.

Din 31 ianuarie 2010 nemtii vreau sa treaca canalele PRO7 , KABEL1 , SAT1 HD in norma HD+ codat Nagravisio , abonamentul anual fiind de 50 euro!

Momentan aceste sunt in teste pe Astra 19,2Est:

'' German TV group ProSiebenSat.1 has commenced high-definition test transmissions of its free-to-air channels Sat.1, ProSieben and kabel eins using the HDTV platform HD+ operated by SES Astra.
The channels use the frequency 11.464 GHz H (SR 22,000, FEC 2/3) on Astra (19.2° East) which German travel shopping channel sonnenklar.TV occupied in analogue until the end of last year. The channel can now only be received in digital via Astra.

Sat.1 HD, ProSieben HD and kabel eins HD are currently showing a free-to-air trailer with the signals encrypted in Nagravision. Regular launch is set for January 31. For reception of HD+, which has been used by RTL and VOX in high-definition since November 1 2009, viewers have to pay a yearly fee of €50, the first 12 months being free.

The first programmes which Sat.1, ProSieben and kabel eins will screen in the new TV technology are Hollywood movies such as parts 1, 2 and 3 of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, action film Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, live soccer games, US series, events with celebrity TV host Stefan Raab, German made-for-TV movies and in-house produced soap operas. Programmes not produced in high-definition will be up-converted with the share of original HD content to be gradually expanded.

'' Portugal's main pay-TV operator ZON TVCabo has launched a high definition package called Digital HD.
The new package is addressed to those of the cable operator’s subscribers who already enjoy 70 channels out of which 6 will be HD: Fox HD, Life HD, AXN HD, MOV HD, Eurosport HD and MY.Zen TV HD.

Digital HD costs €23.95 monthly including rental of the Zon Box HD+ for 12 months.

The operator has also launched a VOD HD service for the moment for the areas of Lisbon, Porto, Margen Sul, Coimbra, Azambuja, Leiria and Faro.
