    Default Any help?

    Alrighty!

    Newbie here, looking to set up a cardsharing server for about 15 friends and family.

    Got a PC for the server. The specs are 3.4ghz AMD Processor, 8gb Ram, Windows 7, 64 bit operating system.
    My internet is with Virgin, download speed of 62MBps, Upload of 2.88Mpbs.

    I know I need to get a card reader. Thats basically all I know haha

    Any help with a walkthrough or blog describing what I need to do would be great!

    Cheers!

    For 15 clients you don't need a PC. One simple DM500 is enough.

    If you still prefer the PC the best solution is the Linux variant. Also you need to chose one SoftCAM (CCcam or any other available variant).

    Very quick guide for ubuntu server with CCcam:
    1) Install Ubuntu (server, without GUI) and configure network;
    2) copy CCcam.x86 to /var/bin/ and CCcam.cfg to /var/etc/ (files are available for download on many websites);
    3) edit CCcam.cfg and configure according to your needs (default CCcam.cfg already contain all the info);
    4) start CCcam;

    Cardsharing servers can be configured in various ways so you can find many tutorials for different setups. Most important thing is to know what kind of server and what kind of SoftCAM you want to use.
