Conditional Access Modules (CAMs) enable Set Top Boxes (STBs) and
integrated Digital Televisions (iDTVs) to receive premium and pay-perview
TV channels, without the need for any specific CA software inside
the STB or the iDTV. This modularity results in a more flexible setup
for both consumers and manufacturers.
SmarDTV CAMs are fully DVB-CI compliant, and support over 10
different major CA systems at over 50 different operators throughout
the world, enabling millions of television viewers to watch their favorite
TV programs every day.
Our SmarCAM Austria implements Irdeto’s Cryptoworks CA, and has
been tested with over 100 different STB and iDTV models in Austria,
providing reliable access to ORF’s wide range of popular TV content.
