Using the OpenATV image as an example
1. Download OpenATV image, link in topic OpenATV image for Amiko Viper 4K V20.
2. Unpack the downloaded archive openatv-6.4-viper4kv20-20210215_mmc.zip (this is the latest image and has this file name as of February 15, 2021) to your computer.
3. As a result of unpacking, we get the amiko folder, which contains the u57 subfolder with files for installing Enigma2.
4. Copy the amiko folder to the formatted USB drive (in FAT32 format), which contains the u57 subfolder with the files for installing Enigma2.
5. Disconnect the receiver from the network.
6. Insert the USB stick into the blue USB 3.0 port of the receiver (the rest of the USB ports must be free!).
7. Switch on the receiver. 8. When “MENU” appears on the display of the receiver, press the green button on the remote control. The display will show uptd and then the Enigma2 installation will begin. The installation progress will be displayed on the TV screen. Do not interrupt the installation! After installation, the receiver will reboot with the new Enigma2. Attention! It is recommended to use a UPS to avoid power outages. Original source Attention! There are times when Enigma2 won't load. Then the following clarification should be applied.
Necessary:
1. Current image of OpenATV or PurE2 (or others)
2.USB drive 4GB
3. Windows PC and DiskGenius Software Now you just need to format the USB stick with "DiskGenius" to FAT32, unzip the downloaded archive, copy the amiko folder to the USB stick and remove the USB stick with "safely eject". Power off the receiver, insert the USB stick into the blue USB port, turn on the power again, and immediately press the green button on the remote control for a few seconds. The image is installed and launched.
