Leaked Samsung Unpacked teaser confirms January 22 date, fourth Galaxy
January 22, 2025 is the date that Samsung will launch its next-gen Galaxy flagships. The date comes from a leaked Italian marketing image via Evan Blass showing four phones. The devices in question are believed to be the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra and S25 Slim. According to another reliable Samsung source, the Galaxy Unpacked event will once again take place in San Jose, California and is due to start at 10 AM Pacific Time. MediaTek set to introduce new Dimensity chips on December 23
MediaTek has announced it will introduce a "new generation of Dimensity chips" in China on December 23 at 3 PM local time. The Taiwanese semiconductor company didn't reveal the name of the chips it will announce the following Monday, but we expect one of them to be the Dimensity 8400 SoC. There is no word from MediaTek about the Dimensity 8400 SoC, but leakster Digital Chat Station said the Dimensity 8400 would be a 4nm chip with a 1+3+4 architecture. Nothing has been beta testing its update to Nothing OS 3.0 based on Android 15 on its phones since October, and today the company is finally commencing the rollout of the stable version. IDC: China leads global wrist-worn shipments during Q1-Q3 period
The global wrist-worn device market (smartwatches and wristbands) reached 139 million shipments during the first three quarters of 2024 as per the latest IDC report. The January – September period brought a 1% decline in shipments, which was due to market saturation across key markets, including the United States and India.
