Default Weekly poll: the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is launching now, are you buy

This year Nothing not only introduced its first mid-range phone, but it also had time to bring out a souped up version of it, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. Long story short, the Plus model features a better 50MP selfie camera, a slightly faster chipset and a minor bump to charging speed. For the long version, we’re working on a full review, so expect more details soon. The Plus model starts at £400 for the 12/256GB model, up from £350/€380 for the regular Nothing Phone (2a). In India, the base model is 8/256GB and it goes for ₹28,000, up from ₹26,000. It will be available in the US too, but...

Default Weekly poll results: nubia Z60 Ultra Leading can be a winner, but upda

Last week we looked at two revamped nubia Z phones, which share some similarities, but they target slightly different segments and they came out with different results. The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading is a small upgrade over the original Z60 Ultra with a faster version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This model got a very positive response and it can only get better with glowing reviews. We have a unit and tests are already underway, so expect a full review soon. Some commenters expressed concerns about the chipset – specifically about its age. Qualcomm is probably putting the...

Default Deals: OnePlus Nord 4, Galaxy S23 FE, Moto Razr 40, Narzo 60 Pro

Last week the OnePlus Nord 4 was still on pre-order, now that’s over and the phone is available on open sale, including the cheaper 8/128GB variant. This is a throwback to the era when metal unibodies were the pinnacle of design. The Nord 4 features a 6.74” 1240p+ OLED display (120Hz, 10-bit) and a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. Inside is a large 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging (100% in 28 minutes), but no wireless – that’s the price you pay for the metal back. Anyway, there is a 50MP main camera (1/1.95”, OIS) and 8MP ultra wide on the back, plus a 16MP selfie camera on the front....

Default Creative Zen Air SXFI in for review

This is the Creative Zen Air SXFI and its name is a mouthful. What it means is that it's Creative's light buds series, and they come with Creative's take on spatial audio - SXFI. The Zen Air comes with three sizes of silicone tips, a nice carrying pouch, and a USB-A to USB-C cable. So what is SXFI? It's short for Super X-Fi technology, which Creative says recreates a multi-speaker system's depth, detail, and soundstage by using computational audio. You can download the SXFI app to create a spatial audio profile specifically for yourself and then use it through the Creative...

Default New report confirms two foldable Apple devices in 2026

We've been hearing plenty of rumors lately about Apple's upcoming foldable devices. We know that the company is working on a flip-style foldable iPhone and an iPad/MacBook hybrid with an 18.8-inch screen when unfolded. The latest report from analyst Jeff Pu suggests the iPad/MacBook hybrid will be the first to see broad daylight, likely in the second quarter of 2026. The foldable iPhone is due at the end of 2026. It's not too far-fetched to assume it will be announced alongside the iPhone 18 series, but the actual market release will commence toward the end of 2026. Unfortunately,...

Default Sony PlayStation Portal launched in India

Sony has finally launched the PlayStation Portal in India, about nine months after its launch in the US. If you think that's late, it's pretty much par for the course for Sony India as it always launches all PlayStation products late in the region. The PlayStation Portal is a handheld remote player for the PlayStation 5 console. It lets you wirelessly stream your installed PS5 and PS4 games from your console over your home Wi-Fi network onto the device. You can, for example, be in your bedroom and playing on your PS5 that's in the living room through the Portal, while someone else is...

Default iPhone 17 series again rumored to sport 24MP selfie camera

Apple hasn't even launched the iPhone 16 series yet, but we've already heard quite a few things about the iPhone 17 lineup, which will likely be unveiled next September. One rumor is that all iPhone 17 models will feature a 24MP selfie camera, which analyst Jeff Pu now corroborates. Pu shared a chart in a research note for investment bank Haitong, which indicated that all the iPhone 17 models will have a 24MP front-facing camera with a 6P lens. In January, popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had also claimed that the iPhone 17 series would feature a 24MP selfie camera. The iPhone 17 lineup...

Default Galaxy S24 FE support page goes up on Samsung France, launch should be

Back in April, UK carrier EE listed a “Samsung Galaxy S24 FE” with a model number SM-S721U. Now Samsung France has a support page for an SM-S721B, so the new FE is definitely on the way. Normally, “U” is for the US, while “B” is for European units (including the ones sold in the UK), so the EE listing was probably a mistake. Anyway, we’ve also seen the SM-S721B model number in a Geekbench test, which revealed that the phone uses an Exynos 2400 with 8GB of RAM. This is the same chipset that is found inside European (and other) Galaxy S24 and S24+ units. Last year’s Galaxy S23 FE used...

Default OnePlus Open Apex Edition unboxing and hands-on

Special edition smartphones are cool and even more so when we're talking about a special edition of one of the best foldable phones around - the OnePlus Open. Meet the OnePlus Open Apex Edition - a maxed-out variant of the fan-favorite foldable with a custom alert slider that opens up a VIP Mode for the champions of privacy. Oh, and it comes in this rather exquisite Crimson Shadow color on top of its classy vegan leather finish. The Crimson Shadow color extends to the two-piece case, which shares the leather texture of the phone's back panel even if it can't quite match its leather...

Default Realme 13+ has design, specs confirmed by regulatory listing

Realme has already released the 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ smartphones and is now working on the launch of the Realme 13 and Realme 13+. The first debuted earlier today, and now the Plus is also listed by the Chinese regulatory body with images and a full specs sheet under model number RMX5002. Realme 13+ (RMX5002) The new Realme 13+ will have a 2.5 GHz max CPU clock, which will likely be part of the 4nm chipset Dimensity 7300. It will have a 6.67” AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution, and we can see a punch hole for a 16 MP selfie camera. Speaking of cameras, the design suggests a...

Default Android Device Streaming comes to Samsung, Xiaomi, and Oppo Device Lab

Back at its annual developer conference in May, Google unveiled Android Device Streaming in beta. This lets developers more easily and interactively test their apps on real physical devices that are located in Google data centers and streamed directly into Android Studio. Today, Google has announced the expansion of this feature in partnership with Samsung, Xiaomi, and Oppo. These companies are connecting their own device labs to Android Device Streaming. This means developers will be able to access even more physical devices directly in their workflow in Android Studio. The...

Default Mediatek details Helio G100 - it's as big of an update as the name sug

Mediatek officially announced its Helio G100 chipset eight days after the first phone with the platform made its debut - the Tecno Camon 30S Pro. The detailed specs shared by Mediatek reveal that the Helio G100 is virtually identical to the Helio G99 when it comes to CPU and GPU. The most notable change is the added support for 200 MP main cameras. Mediatek G100 has an octa-core CPU with two 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 units. It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, while the max display resolution is 2,520 x 1,080 pixels. The Helio G99 is a popular choice...

Default Realme 13 4G unveiled with Snapdragon 685, 6.67" 120Hz OLED display an

After the launch of the two Pro models, attention turns to the vanilla Realme 13 4G, which is launching today in Indonesia. As the name suggests, this is an LTE phone rather than 5G like the Pro and Pro+. Realme 13 4G This also means that instead of a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, this one uses a Snapdragon 685. The chip is paired with a 7-layer cooling system that includes a vapor chamber (4,392mm² in size). You may remember this chip from the Realme 12 4G and a quick comparison shows that hardly anything has changed. To be fair, the Realme 12 4G launched in July of this year,...
