Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) battery life test is ready
The Moto G Stylus (2024) is part of Motorola’s line of phones that have a stylus built-in, making them suitable for productivity and creativity. Unlike Samsung’s stylus-having phones, these are mid-rangers – this particular example starts at USD 400/CAD 500 – so we don’t expect ultimate performance. And yet the 2024 edition managed to impress. The phone has a flat 6.7” OLED display with FHD+ resolution (20:9), giving you a large canvas to draw and take notes on. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which is hardly new, but it was the first in the 6-series to be fabbed on a 4nm node and...

Our summer battery and display test: the beach effect
Ah, summer... the best of all seasons. That is, if you live in an area that actually has it and have a soft spot for sand and sea - otherwise you may see things differently. But regardless of whether we enthusiastically storm towards the sea or get forcefully dragged down there by... external circumstances, it is time for the beach where most of our team calls home.We don't doubt you've experienced the ill effects of sunlight and the accompanying heat on your phone display's brightness and battery life, and we're no strangers to those either. Still, we had no numerical representation of...

Weekly poll: will you buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 or Galaxy Z Flip6
Samsung refreshed its two foldable lines this week with new Z Fold and new Z Flip models. Currently, they are on pre-order and will go on open sale on July 24 (or a bit later in some markets). Check out our hands-on review for a closer look at both models. Are you considering getting one?Let’s consider the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 first. Samsung tweaked the aspect ratios of both the cover display (now 6.3”, 22.1:9) and the main display (now a 7.6” panel with a 10.5:9 aspect ratio). It’s a subtle change, but it does bring a noticeable improvement to usability.Samsung Galaxy Z...

Deals: Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 go on pre-order, CMF Phone 1 tackles
Samsung’s new foldables are on pre-order now and will be released on July 19. Amazon has interesting bundles, for example, you can get the Galaxy Z Fold6 (256GB) paired with the Galaxy Watch Ultra for £2,160. Considering the phone’s usual price is £1,800, this gets you the flagship watch for £360 – and not its usual £600 price.Another interesting pairing is the Z Fold6 with the Galaxy Buds3 – somehow, this costs £1,763, which is less than the price of just the phone. If you prefer the Galaxy Buds3 Pro instead, that bundle is £1,817. ...

Realme GT 6T in for review
This is the Realme GT 6T. It just arrived in our office and will be joining our review queue, but before that we figured we'll share a few quick impressions. We received only the phone without a retail package, so there won't be an unboxing. But from our first meeting with the phone in India revealed it ships in a black retail box with a case, a SIM tool, a cable, and a 120W GaN charger. In Europe, the phone was supposed to cost €550 after its introductory price of €400 expired. Odds are it will see discounts for the upcoming Amazon prime day as Realme is keen on building that...

Weekly poll results: the Red Magic 9S Pro is a solid choice for gaming
The 6,500mAh battery on the Red Magic 9S Pro is a hit with a lot of voters who took part in last week’s poll. This is a gaming phone, the exterior decoration leaves little doubt about that, but many think that this could make a solid all-around phone too.The main concerns were about the software. We’re not sure about the 9S, but for the Red Magic 9 Pro the company says “we do regular updates every 1-2 months for 2+ years with at least 1 Android OS update”. The RM phones are cheaper than your typical flagship, but even mid-rangers get better support than this (often much...

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro in for review
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are in our office and are ready to get the review treatment. The new Buds3 Pro come with a new case design and a slew of new features, some of which AI-powered.Most importantly the earbuds themselves have also been redesigned. They feature stems that Samsung insists on calling "blades" - at least the sharp angles give some reason for that. They recognize various gestures, including swiping, making the whole operation more convenient. The blades light up, too with an LED strip running down on each one.The new shell accommodates 2-way speakers with...

Wear OS 5 hints at UWB and Bluetooth LE Audio support for the Pixel Wa
Diving deep into Wear OS 5 Developer Preview reveals a couple of neat features coming to future smartwatches. Perhaps the first one to feature them is the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 3, scheduled for an August announcement. The two most notable features in question are UWB and Bluetooth LE Audio. The UWB connectivity has been suggested in reports in the past, which would likely allow secure phone unlocking and more accurate location tracking of the phone and the watch. As long as the phone supports UWB as well, of course. The Bluetooth LE Audio part is another feature that's not...
