LG G5 vs Samsung Galaxy S7 edge: Low-light shooting
Windows phone models aren't that many, which makes sense as the platforms has a market share of less than 2%. You might even say they are a select group of phones, each designed to occupy a niche of its own. So the Acer Liquid Jade Primo is a specimen of a rare breed.

The HP Specter 13.3 is a 10.4mm razor-sharp laptop that you can actually get with a diamond finish
It is not particularly easy to shine at an event like the New York Times International Luxury Conference, but this year HP managed to turn some heads with what it claims to be the thinnest laptop in the world. At this year's event, hel in Versailles, France, HP showcased the Specter 13.3, which measures the razor-thin 10.4mm! If you can't put that into perspective, imagine the girth of an AAA battery, or better yet, a stack of eight Pennys.By comparison, the new MacBook is about 13.1mm thick and the 14-inch LG gram is about 12.7 mm. Speaking of the latter, the HP Specter 13.3...

Nubia event set for April 19, possibly a Z11 announcement?
ZTE's sub-brand Nubia has announced a press event for April 19, to be held in Beijing. The tagline reads something along the lines of "Small world - big wonders", Google Translate tells us, but that's all the poster reveals.Nubia April 19 event poster (click for full size)Logic would dictate, however, that a new flagship is to be unveiled, the Nubia Z11, and a Z11 mini alongside it. The Nubia Z9 was announced last year in May, so an announcement a month ahead of schedule isn't out of the question. Not to mention that the Z11 mini (or what looks like it) was already certified...

Barclays finally adds Apple Pay support in the UK
It's been 9 months or so now since Apple Pay first launched in the United Kingdom and Barclays is clearly a little tardy to the show. The major bank's absence from the original list of adopters, like HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Santander, as well as the following second wave came as an unpleasant surprise for the customers hoping to take advantage of it.Better late than never and today the bank's customers were happy to discover that they can add their cards to the payment gateway. Barclays customers can finally enjoy Apple Pay, which despite its slow and controversial...

Huawei P9 has its specs leaked one more time thanks to GFXBench
Huawei's P9 will finally be made official at an event on April 6, which is this Wednesday. The grand unveiling follows leaks upon leaks that we've seen of the device over the past few weeks. In fact, its back side got portrayed in all its glory mere hours ago, complete with Leica branding for the camera and new Huawei text-only logo on the lower side. And now we've got a leaked list of specs for the P9, probably the last one before it gets official. It comes courtesy of a benchmark run, though it's not AnTuTu this time (like last month), but GFXBench.Interestingly, the specs revealed...

iPhone SE's durability gets tested in another video, see it swim, tumble, bend, and drop onto a sidewalk
Love watching torture-test videos of the newest smartphones? Then you'll definitely enjoy this one. Coming just a few days after the first such video for the iPhone SE is a new one, with a slightly different focus. While last week we've shown you how Apple's latest 4-inch device has managed to withstand scratching, burning, and bending, this time around it faces an almost entirely new set of challenges. The common thing between the two videos is the bend test, though today's showing is a lot more scientific. We don't just get a 'pass' or 'fail' evaluation, but we find out that the iPhone...

New HTC 10 video teaser says we should expect "the best BoomSound yet"
The latest HTC 10 teaser is here, ladies and gentlemen. And like one of those from last month, this is all about audio. However, this time around we're thankfully treated to more than just a cryptic image. It's a full video teaser, this, and it expands upon the "we're obsessed" theme that we saw in the company's first ever video teaser for the HTC 10. Though obviously this obsession has everything to do with "bright, fat, crisp" sound now.Not all music is created equal. Hi-res audio so every note is crystal clear. You'll hear it. 4/12 #powerof10https://t.co/uSFPDg4t6o— HTC (@htc) April...

Apple unlikely to recover from falling iPhone sales in 2016
Apple analyst from KGI Ming-Chi Kuo, who has definitely proven a trustworthy source of information and predictions, forecasts year-on-year iPhone shipments will continue to fall in 2016. The total iPhone shipments for the year will likely fall below 200 million units ending up missing market expectations.Furthermore, Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple won't be able to recover from its peak iPhone times and as a result the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will see lower sales than its predecessors. The decline in sales for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is a result of the rise of replacement...

iPad Pro 9.7" teardown shows tightly packed components, low repairability
The time for the iPad Pro 9.7 teardown is upon us, thanks to the professional disassemblers at iFixit. What everyone expected to be an iteration of the iPad Air 2, turned out to be a scaled down version of the 12.9" iPad Pro and as such every millimeter inside the alloy body is put to good use.The iPad Pro 9.7" is hard to open and requires a lot of patience and heating, but once open you can see just how cramped the inside is. The largest component, naturally, is the battery. In this iPad Pro it has a rating of 27.91 Whr (7,306mAh), which is slightly better than the iPad Air 2's 27.62...

Meizu Pro 6 leaks in a new pair of photos
The Meizu Pro 6 has really been getting a lot of publicity lately. The whole iPhone 7 resemblance was more or less an attention-grabber, but even beyond that the handset has had its fair share of leaks. The latest batch of leaked photos offers a glimpse at both the front and the back of the phone and once again reaffirms the significant design similarities between the Pro 6 and its predecessor - the Pro 5. The shots in question seem to come from a shoot we already caught a glimpse of a few days back, making it quite a bit more believable.Overall, the images don't really...
