Suppliers say iPhone SE sales probably won't be enough to offset expec
Apple's new reboot of the 4-inch iPhone factor is doing pretty well. The pocket-friendly device has reportedly received 3.4 million registrations in China and is expected to sell between four and five million units in the second fiscal quarter. Its more affordable price point is also serving great in attracting Android converts, so, in a nutshell, the little handset can be considered an overall success. However, industry supply chain sources have warned that the iPhone SE won't manage to overcome the already expected 11% or so decrease in Apple's revenue in Q2 this year. iPhone SE teardown shows hardware ranging from iPhone 5 to 6s
The Apple iPhone SE is a 6s in a 5s body, but Chipworks dug into the internals and it turns out the story is more complicated than that. It straddles multiple generations - from the iPhone 5 selfie camera to the iPhone 6s chipset, a whopping four generations. The Apple A9 chipset is brand new and the SK Hynix-made LPDDR4 2GB memory matches the 6s as well. The NFC, audio chips and motion sensor are from that generation as well. The storage appears to be from the 6s as well, but an earlier 19nm chip instead of the 15nm being shipped now.The Qualcomm modem from the earlier iPhone 6 model...

Audiophile-targeted vivo X6S and X6S Plus are now official
Chinese manufacturer vivo has added a pair of new devices to its lineup today. The new handsets come as direct descendants to vivo X6 and X6 Plus and are all but identical on the outside. This is just as well, since the metal shell still looks elegant in silver, gold or pink and reusing the chassis should save some R&D budget, which could be better spent elsewhere. The devices both come with an even better audio hardware than their predecessors. The smaller X6S is equipped with an AKM4375 32-bit DAC, while the bigger X6S Plus has a ES9028 DAC within a YAMAHA YSS-205X audio...

LG shows the full G5 Jason Statham commercial
After teasing us with a few short trailer of its latest ad campaign for the G5, LG has finally released what looks to be the full version of the video. However, we sincerely hope that this is merely the first episode in a series of videos as it is just so incredibly entertaining.Jason Statham simply knocks this role out of the park, or rather these twenty or so roles, as he plays every character in the thirty second clip. Subway passenger, street performer, restaurant customer, or motorbike stuntman - the British action legend just seems like the perfect and at the same time worst...
