Wear OS 5.1 could be based on Android 15 and coming soon
If you like to follow software versions, you know Wear OS isn't the most straightforward to keep track of. It has a separate versioning system compared to Android, even though it's based on Android code. And new Wear OS versions generally come out at least a few months after the Android version they're based on gets released. That may be confusing but at least we've consistently seen big new Android versions integrated into big new Wear OS versions. That, however, seems set to change, as apparently there will be a Wear OS 5.1 release, and this one will be based on Android 15, even though...

YouTube Premium subscribers get a sleep timer
Ever find yourself falling asleep to a YouTube video only to wake up hours later with your history filled with auto-playing next video after auto-playing next video? Well, in that case you probably need a sleep timer, and luckily YouTube is now offering just that. But it's limited to YouTube Premium subscribers. And it's an experimental test feature. And, perhaps most annoyingly, the test is only running until September 2. After that, the feature might make it into YouTube per se, shedding its experimental training wheels, or it could disappear forever, there's absolutely no telling at...

Google Pixel 9 series UK prices and promo offers leak
So far we've had leaked pricing for the EU and US, and so today it's time to look at the UK prices for the upcoming Pixel 9 devices. Courtesy of Vodafone, we can do just that, since the operator has published a "Terms and conditions" page for its upcoming Pixel releases. This tells us that the RRP for the Pixel 9 will be £750 with 128GB and £894 with 256GB. Between August 13 and September 3 you can get the latter at the price of the former. We've seen the same thing advertised in France and the US, so it's no surprise - it looks like all Pixel 9s will get the same "double the storage for...

Our Nothing Phone (2a) Plus video review is now out
Nothing launched the Phone (2a) mid-ranger in March, and then, just a few days ago, it introduced the Phone (2a) Plus, a beefed up version of the (2a) with a better chipset, a higher-res selfie camera, and 50W wired charging support vs. 45W. Oh, and, of course, a higher price. It's a rather baffling release, this, if you consider it a successor to the Phone (2a), which it isn't - that model will still be sold alongside it. Otherwise, if you look at this as the top spec Phone (2a) and nothing more, it makes more sense. And if you're interested in it, take a look at our just-released video...

Realme's 300W charging tech demoed in leaked video
Realme is all set to unveil its 300W wired charging solution on August 14 at a dedicated event in China. This was rumored before, and has since been confirmed by the company.Today, a video has leaked showing the tech in action even before it's officially announced. As you can see, it takes the phone in the video 32 seconds to reach 15%, and in 35 seconds the battery is already at 17%.That is very impressive of course, but let's not forget that Redmi announced its 300W charging system last year, and we're yet to see any devices employing it. So we hope Realme won't wait as long to...
