My Top 5 phones of 2024 - Vlad
2024 is gone and while it hasn't really been a huge year for smartphone innovation, that doesn't mean there haven't been some standout devices released in 2024. Here are the five that most stood out to me. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Let's start strong with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. This phone has a unique feature that for some reason has remained exclusive to it, and in 2025 it seems like only its successor will also be able to boast it. I am of course talking about the anti-reflective coating on the Gorilla Glass Armor that's on top of the AMOLED display. Long established in the...

Weekly poll results: the Huawei Mate X6 has two major issues and neith
We’re back to our regularly scheduled programming and it’s time to find out how the Huawei Mate X6 fared in the polls. Well, the results are in and they are a mix of good and bad. The sad thing is that the negatives aren’t all Huawei’s fault. The Huawei Mate X6 has great hardware, better than most horizontal foldables out there. However, Huawei is cut off from the Google Play ecosystem – that means that the X6 is not a viable option for many outside of China. Some might go for the de-Googled lifestyle, tempted by the excellent hardware. Mostly excellent. Google services are not the...

Top 10 trending phones of week 1
Welcome to the year 2025 and the first installment of our trending chart. As we prepare to start the first full week of the new year we see a phone on top that will likely be there more than a few times through the next 52 weeks. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will not make its official debut for more than two weeks, but it's already the most discussed smartphone on our website. Right behind it we have one of the first smartphones to be announced in 2025 - the Redmi Turbo 4. iQOO's Z9 family has a lot of members, and now the brand is readying their successors. The iQOO Z10 line will, at least initially, comprise only four members, according to a new rumor out of China. Of course, it may expand at a later point beyond that. The first devices in this series are going to be the Z10, Z10x, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro. Apparently the main idea behind this line is to give every single handset a "super large" battery, which makes us think of something in the neighborhood of 7,000 mAh.iQOO Z9 Turbo+The Z10 Turbo Pro is currently being tested with the...
