Satellite operator SES plans in the coming months and years, changes in its fleet of satellites ASTRA. Everything is connected with the end of the expected life of some satellites and also the planned launch of new space apparatuses.

The changes will affect 19.2 ° E, 23.5 ° E, 28.2 ° E and 31.5 ° E, including the Czech and Slovak market. Satellite platform CS Link and Skylink, using satellite capacity on ASTRA 3A and ASTRA 3B at 23.5 Wed East.

The first new satellite ASTRA will be branded Astra 2F. The satellite will be brought to the fore in the last quarter of this year. The Universe will bring it to Proton booster rocket. Astra 2F will be equipped with 64 transponders in Ku and another four in the Ka band. The target position is 28.2 ° E, from where it will work for the British and Irish market.

Astra 2A satellite, together with the move Astra 1E at 23.5 ° E. In the case of Astra 1E will be a return to this location, which previously provided services for Central Europe. Astra 2A is currently operating at 28.2 ° E for the British and Irish market.

In mid-2013 will bring Ariane Astra 5B communications satellite that will operate at the orbital position 31.5 ° E, along with Astra 1G . It will provide services including for post-Soviet states - Ukraine, Georgia and other customers from other countries to be coverage.
