Liftoff rescheduled for the night of Tuesday 28 December 2010

In order to allow one of its customers to perform complementary checks on its payload, Arianespace has rescheduled the launch of HISPASAT 1E and KOREASAT 6.

Liftoff of the Ariane 5 launcher is now set for the night of Tuesday 28 December, as early as possible in the following launch window:

From 06:26 p.m. to 07:15 p.m., in Kourou, on Tuesday 28 December,
From 04:26 p.m. to 05:15 p.m. in Washington, DC, on Tuesday 28 December,
From 09:26 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. UTC, on Tuesday 28 December,
From 10:26 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. in Paris and Madrid, on Tuesday 28 December,
From 06:26 a.m. to 07:15 a.m., in Seoul, on Wednesday 29 December.

Arianespace Flight - HISPASAT 1E & KOREASAT 6

Les conditions météorologiques étant défavorables au-dessus de la base de lancement de Kourou, Arianespace a décidé de reporter de 24 heures le lancement du Vol 199 qui doit mettre sur une orbite de transfert géostationnaire les satellites de télécommunications Hispasat 1E et KOREASAT 6.

En fonction des conditions météorologiques à Kourou, une nouvelle date de lancement sera fixée pour la nuit du mercredi 29 au jeudi 30 décembre 2010.

The launch of Arianespace Flight 199 has been postponed for 24 hours due to the unfavourable weather conditions over the launch pad in Kourou, French Guiana. Flight 199 will place into geostationary transfer orbit the Hispasat 1E and KOREASAT 6 telecommunications satellites.

Depending on weather conditions in Kourou, another launch date will be decided for the evening of Wednesday, December 29, 2010.
