On October 12, Canal+ will add three HD channels to its premium offer, Canal+ Cinema HD, Canal+ Family HD and Canal+ Decale HD. Until now, only the main Canal+ and Canal+ Sport are available in HD.
The pay TV operator launched Canal+ Sport HD last June for its subscribers on satellite and IPTV; the HD versions of the three thematic Canal+ will first be rolled out on satellite DTH and progressively on IPTV as part of the CanalSat offer. At the same time, CanalSat is also adding a new channel to its line-up, TV8 Mont Blanc (in SD) from October 12.
