By adding six new HD channels, Orbit Showtime Network will triple its high definition offer from May 1.

The new additions are the Food Network, Fashion TV HD, Fox Sports HD, Showsports 1 HD, Outdoor Channel HD and Sundance Channel HD, the operator said in a statement. OSN currently offers three HD channels, OSN Movies HD, Discovery HD and Nat Geo Wild HD, which were launched on February 1.
“HD is the biggest development to happen in TV in the last 15 years. Today, less than ten months since Orbit and Showtime merged, we are very proud to be the first network to offer subscribers a line-up of 9 exclusive HD channels from world-renowned brands,” said Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, chief executive of OSN, in a statement.
