How To - DM800 NewCs & CCcam With Omni***
thanks@dabs
'' This tutorial was created from the help of various threads and how-to's on many different forums, and with the kind help from member 'dbgdbg'
Download and install from the blue button CCcam 2.1.2 & NewCs 1.67. Be sure to back up all your CCcam config data as this will be overwritten. Then once installed, copy your config back over.
Then download NewCs 1.67RC1 full from the download section of ECS. Extract the rar file and look for the file 'Newcs1.67.mips.pcsc', it can be found in the bin folder. FTP the file to usr/bin on your dm800. When you have done this you will find another file in usr/bin called 'newcs_167'. Re-name this to 'newcs_a67.old'. Once this is done, rename the new file (newcs1.67.mips.pcsc) to newcs_167.
The next step is to download and install the Omni*** drivers. These are FTP'd into 'tmp' and installed via the remote (ipk manual install packages.) I am unable to upload files to the site so you will have to google them and get them from elswhere. Look for: 'PCSC_drivers_libs_for_mips'. Once installed, you must reboot your box.
The next step is to connect the reader via usb port and check the drivers are working. Telnet into the box, then connect the reader. Type 'dmesg' and look for confirmation that it has been recognised.
And thats it, you have successfully installed the Omni***!
All that remains is to configure Newcs & CCcam configs ( in Newcs: <type>pcsc</type>, <node>0</node>, or 1,2 e.c.t if more readers are connected). ''
