singurii care folosesc DREcrypt ... in rest tot LinKey este baza ...

Ai dreptate! Eu unul mi-am dat seama ca Alligatorul e chiar o scula buna.
Daca are si un LinKey in fund!
Si totusi noua versiune zice ca "fixed ccc*m conax bug". Nu stiu la ce s-au referit producatorii cand au spus asta, cert este ca acum deschide si UPC.
Dar bineinteles ca tot in stilul clasic "Alligator" - se intrerupe des, nu poti urmari ceva.

Pai lucrurile stau cam asa ... producatorul (iStream ) sint specialisti in EMU ...
pentru partea de retea (CS) au subcontractat ... partenerul a facut cat a
stiut ... si cat se putea testa din Koreea ... ceea ce acum un an parea chiar
promitator ... dupa care a pus pusca jos ... ei au fost si la originea falselor
sperante ca ar putea fi si o versiune Enigma ... Incercarea de a implementa
Enigma2 pe Alligator s-a lovit de doua mari probleme ... Enigma API si driverul
de tunner ... probleme care din pacate nu au inca o rezolvare. Din p.d.v. hard
Alligatorul este o scula excelenta ... la fel de buna ca VU+ ...dar a pornit pe
un drum dificil , cu insuficienta sustinere ... tehnica si financiara !!! asta
este istoria lui reala ... victime ... noi , dealerii si distribuitorul general ... inspecial el !!!

system type : BCM97xxx Settop Platform
cpu model : Brcm7401 V0.0
This box are based on stblinux and the fw used linux kernel with
Broadcom API:
bcmnetaccel bcmdriver -kernel modulos.
The User interface is Broadcom based:
BSEAV - Broadcom’s Brutus and Settop API from???
On some reading I did on the web, we can mount on usb stick deamons, and they can be run.
One of the test's I read we can load enigma2 compiled with linux gpl (Linux2.6.12-4.2) and using SDK from DM_HD we can compile E2 to make test, but have no picture.
Means the modulos load are not Linux DVB API standard.
Some "drives" on the FW are "open", others are not.
rt3070sta rt73 rt61 - are open.
Then what is need?
To E2 can be ported to this box is need todo new modulos based on this linux and with direct fb layer.
What is need?
1. List of chips used (tuners, ...), this way we can see if box use's some "open" chips.
2. Some logs done with strace - only for dev.
3. Some knowledge of brutus/libsettop, like version used and list of main I/O - can be loged.
4. Filesystem.
5.Pacience.
If someone can provide me that, then we will see if box can be Hacked.

Looks like in here someone have e2 working on box, but have some problems with drives...

Can you put here linux debug?
And filesystem you are using?
(just need to see what modulos you are loading...)

The ideea is not to hake the box ! rather to develop a native Alligator Enigma2 environment !
Forget the old Brutus application .... Yes ... we have a Enigma2 built for Alligator ,based
on OpenDreambox git . loadable via NFS , but it has no API and tunner driver ! it starts ...
you can activate the skin but ... you cannot execute any interface actions ! The ideea to
fake the Enigma2 API using a "wrapper" was used by AZBOX but the results were not
convincing ! Anyone interested in testing and/or developping from this point is invited
on board !!! ... use PM !

Hummm I read somehere someone have try it on usb stick...

Anyway I will send you PM if you wanna this private.

Course dvb api is not there because "hardware" is diff, is a problem if we don't have datasheet of "hardware".

Do you now what we have inside of the box (hardware)?
Can you PM List of it?

We don't need wrapper here because if linux img is booting like I already read it we just need new modulos or modulos already compiling for this processor.
Depend of what you have on AVS - Frontend - VDF.

Sometimes modulos are done just need to compile it to diff processor

Apai daca este asa ... asta afiseaza amatorism de inalta clasa si nici cea mai mica urma de inteligenta si siretic industrial ... daca te a apuci sa construiesti un super-buldozer cu un motor care poate darama 2 munti deodata, dar care functioneaza cu un combustibil neinventat inca, cu probabilitate sa apara peste 15 ani, atunci poti trimite agregatul direct la fier vechi ... sa te apuci sa lipesti una langa alta niste componente electronice puternice, fara sa te bazezi pe un suport sw, reprezinta un "amestec electronic" de risipa, loterie si prostie ...

Nu ... in opinia mea, in domeniul asta, HW si SW trebuie sa inainteze amandoua in paralel, cu laboratorul amplasat exact in zona in care vrei sa penetrezi ... dar ai nevoie de bani, ca sa platesti programatori buni, ca in final sa scoti o scula performanta, pe care sa ti-o cloneze altii, pe inteligenta si banii tai ...

Dar asta nu este o noutate ...

EMU ... haideti sa vedem ce este si ce inseamna EMU ... Pai este in felul urmator. La "MUZEUL DE STIINTE INFORMATICE SI ARTA DECODARILOR PIRAT PRIN SATELIT", la parter gasim rafturile cu wafercard, goldcard, silvercard si funcard, iar la ejaul I chiar acum se instaleaza vitrina pentru EMU ... Asta este EMU ...

Si inca ceva ... Daca ar fi sa adopt o gandire conspirativa, cu tente speculative, pe subcontractorii de (CS) este posibil sa-i fi cautat cu niste "ofrande consistente" vanzatorii de receptoare cu pretul de 1500 RON. Are si IT-ul din lumea satelitilor un TIMELINE cu niste etape bine definite, unde nu sunt agreate caderile libere de genul 1500 - 600 RON, intr-un interval de cateva luni ...

Am testat 12 ore acest aparat...!
...pe toate partile...new software,cccam,newcs,calitate a imaginii,sensibilitate tuner,etc...
...blocaje si freez-uri la greu in share...exasperant!!!
Concluzie:
O BALARIE !!!
Nu o sa dau niciodata banii pe asa ceva...!
Prefer sa dau o suta de lei in plus si sa cumpar o clona DM 800 decat un Aligator ...!
Sper sa nu supar pe nimeni dar asta este parerea mea...!
Aligatorul este din punctul meu de vedere un kitsch !!!
Nu recomand !!!
..aaa...cine vrea FTA cu iesire HDMI si tuner dvbS2 poate sa arunce banii...dar sunt multe alte variante mai rezon!!!
