I ave a slight problem with mounting the harddsik. If I reboot Kathy with the HDD inserted, the box would not boot completely and hangs in the middle. But if I boot without the disk and later mount the HDD from the RSP menu, then it works OK. What to do so that I can boot the box with the HDD inserted?

ive had the exact same situation for quite a while and didnt know what to do. i have the USB formatted as ext2 and HDD as ext3. I guess ill have to try your solution, although formatting the USB stick and all partitions right now doesnt appeal that much to me.
BTW, did you try to format the HDD ext2 instead of formatting the USB in ext3?

@Hi Zildan can you help me I have installed the above image now 3 times and i have no remote functions can you help,as soon as I remove the stick XBA I have all the remote functions.this is how i istalled the image

1) reformatted the stick with hp format tool
2) back to expert setup
3) installed notefall 6 renamed stik with kathrein usf910 in lower case then installed aaf 2.0e image flash
4) reformat stick and renamed XBA and installed b/alan
5) installed boot image
6) then installed rsp 3.17 tdt in s/by mode as soon as I install the stick image I have no remote functions have you any idea what has gone wrong I have also tried other sticks as well ,but everything is working when the the stick not installed in the kathy

Hallo nach Rumaenien,

das Image läuft bei mir sehr stabil.
Leider bekomme ich das Mounten der USB-Festplatte und meiner Verzeichnisse am PC nicht hin.
Da ich die rumänische Sprache leider nicht beherrsche, wäre ich sehr dankbar, wenn mir jemand in Deutsch oder Englisch das Mounten erklären konnte.
In var\config habe ich zwar die beiden amount-Dateien entdeckt, weiß aber nicht,was ich dort eintragen muß.
Kann man auch nfs-mounten?

In /var/config edit amnt.cfg

cifssrv="192.168.1.110" <- IP of your PC
cifsdir="Livia" <- name of the share on your PC (Livia is my niece name)
cifsuser="user" <- user used to log on on your PC (in windows it's the name you see on the log on screen)
cifspass="pass" <- password for the user (if you don't have any just use cifspass = "")

Go to RSP Panel -> Disk Units and enable cifs.
Reboot.

If you did it right you should see the content of the folder in /mnt/hdd

Please use English in this section of the forum.

S-a rezolvat cu FTV HD, cred ca era de la ei (din transponder) si nu din E2 deoarece acum merge foarte bine

I have a problem on all the images, RSP, Black Pearl, etc. If for some reason incubuscamd stops working and the image freezes, after sometime appears a granulated image (like the one in old tv's when there was no signal) and kathrein locks, needing a hard reset. Does this happen to anybody else? Reason? Solution?

Yes it happens to anyone.
The "solution" is to change channel when it freezes.

CIFS is a samba client, NFS client is also running.

I have a problem : the image write nothing on VFD display .. Everything else works "fine"(of course any versions of incubuscamd stops in standby mode,and need restart if i wanna use the cam) ,but the vfd stay black .

I tryed with and without internal hdd , install from two different computers, with two different versions of Barry Allen (5.3.7 and 5.4.4 ),but the result is same : nothing on VFD .

What is wrong ? Somebody have an idea ?
