I have no router and tryed to establish network wia notebook 50Kb/sec modem - Lan(Ethernet ip192.168.0.2) - Amico8900(ip192.168.0.22, gateway-192.168.0.2). Booting Amico dial uping laptop and in enigma's menu test all network chek boxes are green, except DHCP. But after RED - RSP Team Menu - Installer - Download EMU -- Check your network!
Dont use DHCP ! your case is one of manual network setting ! try first to acces Alien via
FTP .. if this works ...your LAN is OK ! you have two possible solutions ...
1) buy a USB WiFi for Alien ...one with RaLink chipset ... and make a LAN if your notebook is
into a wireless network
2) buy a router , even a cheap one , and all your problems are solved
P.S. The cable you are using between Alien and notebook must be a "cross-over" one !!!
I've tested long time ago , more than 10 years , Internet Connection Sharing , on Win98 ...
it was a bad experience ... abandoned from the very beggining ! The crossover cable put
in cross the emitor with the receiver of ethernet interface !

USB WiFi - its sounds like a solution for me, but why in RSP menu exist "installer tr.gz from temp"?
The option to install from *.tgz is dedicated to those components ( plugins ,
skins ) witch are distributed as *.tgz archives. The future option will be to
install from *.ipk as being the most popular today. The EMU is installed directly
from the image server ...and only in this way !

kaspersky internet security cu licenta nu a gasit nimic.ok,citesc rubrica oscam dar imi cam prind urechile,sunt simplu client,dar atras de media player,de dts,etc.poate iti faci timp si ma ajuti.mersi
Am citit toate paginile din forumul Enigma2, dar nu am gasit procedura de instalare pentru Amiko Alien. Daca cineva o poate explica, pas cu pas, sau un link. Unde pot sa gasesc ultima imagine care merge bine?

azi am legat alienul la home cinema.merge super pana la dts.Cand dau downmix to stereo OFF ramane mut,nu mai merge sunetul.Alienul l-am legat la home cinema samsung ht-tx 715.cablurile de sunet le-am legat si normal(alb si rosu)si prin spdif si nimic.ma ajutati careva?mersi
nu stie nimeni?vreau doar sa trimit sunetul la home cinema,el are Decodoare incorporate Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II si as vrea pe media player sa aud sunetul 5.1 .mersi
Scuze, nu am vazut intrebarea ta.
Mergi in RSP Panel, User Options, General options. si activeaza DTS downmix ON, apoi dai restart.
Cu aceasta optiune activata ai sunet analogic la filme cu sonor DTS.
Daca ai decodor extern DTS, pui cablu coaxial pe SPDIF si lasi downmix OFF, din meniul e2 (e pe galben) si nu mai e necesara activate codorului internal DTS (paragraful de mai sus).
De ce nu mai am semnal doar pe canalele HD?
daca spui ce ai facut poate putem sa ajutam.
dar cu acceasta intebare nu stiu ce sa raspund.
