please can anone help me,at the moment I am using the above image ,which is totaly fantastic,and very stable,what I would like to know is I have noticed in the lib/modules I have found the ftdi_sio.ko usb driver for smargo,can anyone tell me how to activate the driver so I can use my smargo on orignal card,or is it activated already?

This is my first post and I would like to say thank you to the RSP-team for such a brilliant and easy to use image.
I am also very interested in the last two posts, re-making a smargo reader work.
I use an old programmer in smart mouse mode via a pl2303 serial/usb converter. This works really well.
Using the information posted above from Zildan I tried to make the same set up work using an ftdi serial to usb converter.
This unfortunately does not work, there is no debug from newcs on port 1001 and if I telnet to kathrein "ps" I get this:

when i check PEER in RSP EMU panel, the peer is disable but newcs is active

Thank you for your observations, I don't not have a smargo yet, but intend to get one, either the dreambox type or WB electronics smartcard reader, as they both only have one usb connection.
I have a very good working set up with both a usb infinity (this requires 2 usb plugs) or a VX Multi card programmer which needs it's own power supply.
These work through a pl2303 usb to serial converter.
Knowing that this works I tried an ftdi serial to usb converter with my card readers thinking that if it worked I could buy a smargo and make things more neat and simple.
It seems that the fdti converter is stopping newcs from running, I get no response on 8080, but usually use "putty" to monitor port 1001 which I set to "internal/all" in .xml file for full debug message.
Windows telnet doesn't work with TCP on 1001.
Unfortunately I am out of my depth now and need assistance from someone with more knowledge.

I have too a DM7000 where i have tried the smargo, so i am sure the hardware is ok.

Thank you for this great image . Very stable since my first usage 1 month ago
However, I have an an issue when mounting a HDD formatted in fat32 , with other AAF images The HDD is mounted automatically ( partition name = RECORD with movie directory)
rsp 3.17b cannot recognize the HDD FAT32 partition , I cannot find it in /tmp/<device>
Am I missing something?

Actual RSP amount.sh script mount only linux (ext2 or ext3) partitions.
I found issues playing m2ts video files (1080i format) . Playing is ok but freezes periodically each 15-20 sec . The same issue exists with latest AAF enigma 2 images.
Is it a bug in the Enigma 2 Media player?

I have installed this image on my internal sata hdd.
Timeshift is not working, recording is OK. Cannot change the timeshift path /media/hdd in the menu.
Whats wrong?
