(PR) Elgato Announces Embrace, Its First Studio Chair
Elgato, a Corsair brand, today announced its first studio chair, Embrace. Built from the ground up for creators, professionals, and anyone who spends serious time at a desk, Embrace delivers long-lasting support in a form that blends effortlessly into any setup. The result is a chair that favors posture over posturing, while offering top-tier features that genuinely enhance comfort beyond others in the same class, without screaming for attention.
Fit meets focus
People spend hours seated - streaming, meeting, working, even gaming. Embrace was built for exactly that: long sessions where body and mind need to stay aligned. From the breathable mesh backrest and luxe cushioning to the waterfall seat edge and precision-adjustable frame, Embrace is engineered to fit a wide range of body types. It adapts to individual users' ergonomic needs, with independent controls for seat height and depth, lumbar support, plus a five-step recline with a tilt locking mechanism typically seen only on specialist ergonomic chairs. Additional features include 4D armrests and a sculpted headrest, while a single logo adorning the back keeps branding tastefully discreet.[Only registered and activated users can see links. Intel XeSS 3 Expands Multi-Frame Generation Support to All XeSS 2 Titl
Intel made a surprisingly neat move as it will support XeSS 3 in all existing XeSS 2 games, Intel fellow Tom Petersen confirmed. The new update for Intel's super resolution technology will include multi-frame generation, arriving before AMD's FSR equivalent. At the Intel Tech Tour, the company confirmed that current XeSS 2 games will stay fully compatible. There are already 50 titles using XeSS 2 and more than 250 using XeSS 1 or 1.3. XeSS 3 will act as a drop-in replacement using the same API, needing no changes from developers. It is expected that the XeSS 3 Multi-Frame Generation feature will appear as a choice in the Intel Graphics Software app. You'll get to choose between 2×, 3×, and 4× frame generation modes based on what you like. However, Intel hasn't given us the full picture on how the 2× to 4× settings compare yet. They did show off two game demos though and screenshots posted by @hm1193 on X suggest ~250 FPS in Painkiller (Epic, 1080p) and ~130 FPS in Dying Light: The Beast (Max, 1080p) with XeSS 3 MFG 4x (Ultra Quality Upscaling) running on a 45 W PTL 12Xe.
What we know so far is that XeSS 3 will run on all Core Ultra CPUs and Alchemist or newer graphics. Whether you'll see a real difference might depend on the base framerate as frame generation doesn't work as well below 40-60 FPS. Intel's method looks a lot like what NVIDIA does with DLSS splitting upscaling from frame synthesis. Up until recently, Intel didn't have its own frame generation feature, a thing that changed with a blink of an eye now that they've taken a direct path into the multi-frame approach. This big step could give Intel an advantage over AMD, which still uses single-frame interpolation and is behind NVIDIA in this area. Intel has yet to share full details on XeSS 3, such as its launch date or expanded capabilities. The feature is widely expected to arrive with [Only registered and activated users can see links. AMD and Sony Leaders Talk Collaboration and the Future of Gaming Exper
AMD today released a new video featuring Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD's Computing and Graphics Group, and Mark Cerny, Lead System Architect for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro at Sony Interactive Entertainment. The two discussed Project Amethyst, the collaboration between Sony and AMD to integrate machine learning-based technologies into next-generation graphics and gameplay. Project Amethyst intends to combine custom hardware design with advanced AI-driven rendering and optimization technologies to shape the future of interactive entertainment.
Among other things, they discussed three key parts. First, Neural Arrays tech lets GPU compute units work together as one AI engine, which helps things scale better and allows bigger machine learning models to run with less overhead. Second, Radiance Cores add special hardware for real-time ray tracing and path tracing, which makes light transport better and frees up the GPU to focus on shading leading to faster and more efficient rendering. Last but not least, Universal Compression squeezes all data moving to memory—not just textures—which cuts down on bandwidth needs while giving higher detail better frame rates, and improved power efficiency. However, all of those are just on paper or in software simulation mode so we will have to wait a few more years until they become a reality.[Only registered and activated users can see links. AMD Officially Confirms 2 nm Process for Instinct MI450 Accelerator
In an interview with Yahoo Finance right after the surprising OpenAI [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] announcement, AMD CEO Lisa Su confirmed that the next generation of Instinct MI450 graphics accelerators will use 2 nm process technology. "We are very excited about our MI450 generation. It has 2 nm technology, the most advanced fabrication capability," AMD CEO Lisa Su said. AMD uses TSMC's capabilities and technology, having been a loyal partner of the Taiwanese company for years. More details recently leaked from Kepler_L2 show that the TSMC N2P (2 nm) node is only used for the XCD (Accelerator Core Die), while the AID (Active Interposer Die) and MID (Media Interface Die) use the TSMC N3P process.
MI450 is set to go head-to-head with NVIDIA's Rubin generation, which uses the TSMC 3 nm (N3P) process. AMD said MI450 will deliver similar FP4/FP8 performance but with 1.5x more memory and bandwidth. AMD will use the TSMC 2 nm node for both Instinct MI450 and the next-generation [Only registered and activated users can see links.
