Almost immediately after Valve launched the Steam Deck, fans were already starting to ponder what the next version of the gaming handheld would look like. Both units are powered by a Realtek RTD1619B quad-core 1.7 GHz processor with 1 GB of DDR4 memory (non-upgradeable). A built-in 2.5 GbE port provides transfer speeds up to 266 MB/s read and 160 MB/s write (RAID 5). The AS12 series supports H.264 and AV1 hardware decoding and smooth 4K @60 FPS playback via ASUSTOR's LooksGood app. The front panel includes power, system status, network, and HDD LED indicators, while power and reset buttons are placed on the back. Both models feature three USB 5 Gbps ports (one front, two rear) for backups and peripheral connections.
