any chance of fixing subtitles on TotalTV package on 16.0E?

it shows them running, but there are no subtitles running...

TotalTV subtitles are encoded ! for the moment we dont have a ready solution ...

I have also problem with connecting HDMI to DVI with my LG monitor. My monitor show unsupported frequency and no picture. I try a lot of options but without success.:(

Reinstall image, and make wizard with front panel display, HDMi 720p 60hz!

Other solution:
press
VFormat > GREN > 0
wait 10 sec, if no image press
VFormat > GREN > 1
etc

mission impossible

When will the new RSP out?Hardly wait:)

Mayby its a dummy/dull request, but I would be grateful if RSPteam could give a link from which EMU tar.gz files for install from temp can be downloaded. No need cardsh**ing, only maximum coding system support.

Prezenta comparatie a stadiului implementarii imaginilor Enigma2
pe Amiko Alien si compatibile ( Edision Pingulux , GM990 ) va
permite sa va faceti o imagine asupra stadiului de implementare,
deficientelor comune si perspectivelor de dezvoltare.

Imaginea de fabrica ( Fulan )

Istoric este prima implementare ! este una de tip "basic" , imagine
care demonstreaza ca totul este posibil dar se opreste la acest
stadiu ... fara skinuri HD , fara pluginuri si server de download.
Are meritul ca pentru realizarea ei s-a implementat o ramura GIT
specifica SPARK ca derivat a implementarii UFS912 ... ramura pe care
s-au grefat toate dezvoltarile ulterioare pentru Alien si compatibile.

Imaginea EOS-NF

Imaginea a fost creata avand ca target Edision Pingulux ( difera de
Alien prin telecomanda folosita si faptul ca nu are SCART ) prima sa
versiune publica a fost neconvingatoare cu destule disfunctionalitati
si o abordare ... sa zicem rudimentara, cea dea doua versiune insa
ne arata o imagine completa ( skinuri SD+HD, pluginuri , EMU , panel )
perfect functionala , la zi din punct de vedere Media player , dar
cu o reactie la telecomanda cam lenta ... poate si din cauza implementarii
functionalitatii fade-in/out in skinuri ... frumoasa da costisitoare.

Imaginea PKT

Imaginea PKT a fost creata avand ca tinta GM990 ( identic cu Alien
dar cu o alta telecomanda ) ... este de departe cea mai profesionala
abordare ! o imagine completa asa cum era de asteptat de la o echipa de
talia si cu istoria PKT ! imaginea nu-si propune decat functionalitati la
nivelul GIT al momentului ...dar tot ce trebuie sa mearga ...merge !
PKT au scos o singura versiune si nu este de asteptat sa produca ceva
nou cat timp problemele de infrastructura nu se rezolva la nivel GIT.

Imaginea RSP

Imaginea RSP este dedicata Amiko Alien , este prima implementare dedicata
si ca urmare cea care a rezolvat la nivel GIT cele mai multe probleme
care au permis imaginilor ulterioare o dezvoltare mai simpla. Imaginea
RSP este cea mai evoluata din punct de vedere sistem , lucru vizibil in
reactia la telecomanda , dar fiind "one man show" acuza lipsa de resurse
si ca urmare o stare de ...impotmolire.

Problemele comune tuturor implementarilor Enigma2 sint :

- instabilitatea redarii imaginilor interlaced ( 1080i )
- implementarea partiala de driverului de cardreader

Aceste probleme tin de GIT mai exact de drivere ... zona in care
constructorii de imagini nu prea au posibilitati de actiune in cunostiinta
de cauza. Perspectivele de evolutie , prin prisma problemelor mai sus
enuntate ... nu sint din cele mai bune ! spun asta pentru ca in ultimele
2 luni pe GIT este un evident dezinteres pentru dezvoltarea UFS912 ca
ramura de baza si implicit implementarile Alien, Pingulux si GM990 sufera.
In afara acestor probleme legate de infrastructura lipsa de colaborare
intre echipele de implementare este si ea un factor defavorabil care
afecteaza perspectivele implementarilor.

Acest material este un punct de vedere personal ... evident subiectiv !

I have no router and tryed to establish network wia notebook 50Kb/sec modem - Lan(Ethernet ip192.168.0.2) - Amico8900(ip192.168.0.22, gateway-192.168.0.2). Booting Amico dial uping laptop and in enigma's menu test all network chek boxes are green, except DHCP. But after RED - RSP Team Menu - Installer - Download EMU -- Check your network!

Dont use DHCP ! your case is one of manual network setting ! try first to acces Alien via
FTP .. if this works ...your LAN is OK ! you have two possible solutions ...

1) buy a USB WiFi for Alien ...one with RaLink chipset ... and make a LAN if your notebook is
into a wireless network
2) buy a router , even a cheap one , and all your problems are solved

P.S. The cable you are using between Alien and notebook must be a "cross-over" one !!!
I've tested long time ago , more than 10 years , Internet Connection Sharing , on Win98 ...
it was a bad experience ... abandoned from the very beggining ! The crossover cable put
in cross the emitor with the receiver of ethernet interface !

USB WiFi - its sounds like a solution for me, but why in RSP menu exist "installer tr.gz from temp"?

The option to install from *.tgz is dedicated to those components ( plugins ,
skins ) witch are distributed as *.tgz archives. The future option will be to
install from *.ipk as being the most popular today. The EMU is installed directly
from the image server ...and only in this way !
