Daarnaast wordt deze versie 5 jaar onderhouden door Ubuntu.

Krijg je voor 7.04 vanaf volgend jaar al geen updates meer, voor 6.06 LTS lopen deze door tot 2011.

Voor het configureren van de firewall gaan we geen gebruik maken van Netfilter/Iptables maar van Shorewall.
