Biography HD, Crime HD and Investigation HD on Sky DE

The fans of biographies, documentaries and reports are the targets of a new HD channel currently being prepared in Germany following permission to broadcast.
The Bavarian media authority has given leave to transmit The Biography Channel HD & Crime & Investigation HD which will screen selected programmes from thematic channels History, The Biography Channel and Crime & Investigation Network in high-definition with the launch being planned for October on pay-TV platform Sky Deutschland.

The channel will be operated by The History Channel Germany, a joint venture by US media companies NBC Universal and AETN.

History and The Biography Channel are already available as stand-alone channels in Germany while Crime & Investigation Network hasn’t yet been present in the German market.
