Arhitectura BCM 7335 si BCM 7405

Mi s-a parut interesanta aceasta comparatie:

interesanta comparatia si concludenta !

-posibil ca handicapul lui 500Hd cu numarul liniilor sa fie de la cantatitatea de memorie RAM pe E2.

-in schimb in descrierea procesoarelor Broadcom folosite de DMM apare "high-speed graphics processing, including video scaling and motion adaptive deinterlacing" ceea ce lipseste din descrierea procesorului folosit de VU+. Sa lipseasca intradevar aceasta functie sau nu este mentionata! :agresiv:

Daca intradevar lipseste "video scaling and motion adaptive deinterlacing" din cipul lui VU+, 500HD ar trebui sa prezinte un plus in calitatea imaginii.

Abia astept sa gasesc pe cineva in Cluj cu un 500HD sa facem o "liniuta", 500HD vs VU+duo, nu ma bag orbeste la un 500HD pana nu vad cu ochiul meu.

Are sigur acele functii! Nu le-au mai enumerat.

Deosebirea esentiala intre cele doua chipseturi procesor este nivelul de integrare al interfetelor si numarul acestora :

- BRCM 7405 este un chipset conceput pentru aplicatii compacte cu numar minimal de interfete ( mini STB ) cost efective

- BRCM 7335 este conceput pentru aplicatii High End unde diversitatea si numarul interfeteleor este cu adevarat important

Broadcom nu este prea consecvent in prezentarea propriilor produse dar spre informarea voastra iata aici cele doua fise tehnice

Dupa cum vedeti nivelul de detaliere in prezentarea celor doua procesoare face difcila simpla comparare ... de unde si impresia ca unul are facilitati
grafice si audio mai mari decat celalalt , in realitate doar nivelul de detaliere al capitolelor ( video, audio, procesor ) difera in cele doua fise ... eu
cred ca facind parte din aceeasi familie 7xxx au aceleasi principii si nivel tehnic iar diferentele vin doar din domeniul de utilizare vizat. La aparitia
procesoarelor din seria 74xx Broadcom le-a facut o prezentare impresionanta ...pentru ca erau o noutate si nivelul tehnic trebuia facut cunoscut in
detaliu ... acum s-a mai lasat linistea ... toata lumea utilizatorilor, ca proiectanti, stie ce poate BRCM asa ca au lasat-o mai moale cu detaliile !
As mai face o remarca ... cea din finalul prezentarii lui BRCM7335 ... driverele si suportul de integrare Linux sint asigurate de Broadcom ... lucru dealtfel adevarat si in cazul celor de la ST ( SH4) ... diferentele de performanta si stabilitate sesizabile in aplicatii adesea isi au originea in calitatea acestui suport software primar.

Intradevar la BCM 7335 apare doar ''studio-quality text and graphics'' fara o enumerare a tuturor codecurilor si functiilor hw.

Trebuia sa umple si lista lui BCM 7405 cu ceva pentru prezenta scenica, acopera inteligent lipsurile fata de fratiorul mai destept.

Ramane totusi sa vad si testul practic.
