'' Spring 2010 will start broadcasting HD channel Mezzo, which is the sister channel Mezzo in standard definition. Mezzo HD will be suited only native HD content, complemented by Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. Mezzo HD channel will show the relationship of operas, recitals, ballets, concerts, jazz and classical music (like the SD version Mezzo).


A new channel in high definition shall give 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During the first year to offer 3 hours of new native HD content per week. In the second year of broadcasting, more than double the number of new HD content. In the third year the number will increase to 9 hours a week.

Mezzo channel on the market since 17 years. Target group is men aged 35 +. Mezzo HD launches likely in March 2010, but not yet fixed the exact date of launch.
