T-Entertain racks up 800,000 homes

IFA 2009 – BERLIN. Deutsche Telekom said it now has 800,000 homes taking the T-Entertain IPTV service and that it will easily reach over 1 million customers before the end of the year.“We are well under way to reach with Entertain a mass market.”
The operator said it is adding three more channels to the line-up this October; Romamce TV, the movie channel Tele 5 and adult entertainment on Lust Pur. T-Entertain will also add 500 new HD movie titles to its on-demand library.
Also added is a new feature to the platform’s EPG. With the so-called ‘programme manager’ subscribers can program their PVR using any PC with an Internet connection or using their mobile phone. The EPG now also list schedules up to 14 days in advance.
This October, a new set-top box will be introduced with a 320 GB hard drive.
The operator also stressed the fact that they are the only platform offering all football games of the Bundesliga live and on-demand in HD quality.
