The French CanalSat platform has introduced a low-cost package of 50 channels which is available for €9.99 a month, representing a 70% discount on the original price.

The new tier consists of the whole range of digital terrestrial channels plus about 20 additional thematic services including MCM, Voyage, TéléToon, Sport + and the movie channels Ciné FX and Ciné Polar.

The offer, which is only good for the first 12 months of any new subscription, is the second low-cost option the Canal group has introduced.

Earlier, Canal+ started its Canal+Week End offer, which gives access to the Canal+ premium channels from Friday evening at 7pm until Sunday for a fee of €15.00. ''
