New HD channel for ZON TV Cabo

Portugal's main pay-TV operator ZON TV Cabo will launch a new HDTV channel from September 1 called TVCine HD.

Programming on the new cinema channel will be made up of major movie titles from all time and will broadcast in Dolby 5.1 sound. The channel will replace TVCine 4 HD and will be accessible for no extra charge to all the premium subscribers of the cinema option TVCine.

The operator announced TVCine's subscribers with a powerbox set-top will be able to watch the new channel also in standard definition until December 31, from when the channel will only broadcast in high definition.
