Change optical spdif connector?

Has a Logitech sourrond 5.1 which i connected to my Kathrein. Optical connector on Kathrein has always been very "slappy" seem like the hole is to big and it dos'nt clicks when i put in the audio plug, a couple of times now in the end it has been no sound when i started Kathrein box and audio facilities but then i restart the sound system and it jumped on again. But now it seems good night .... no sound what so ever. Have tried that the optical sound works on my DB7000 with the same cable and equipment and on the DB7000 the contact is not at all "slappy" it sucks the plug right in and its steady.


Is it possible to change the Optical SPDIF connector on the Kathrein box?
Can i measure it in anyway to see if it needs to be changed?
Maybe there is no point in change the connector?

I solded in SATA connector but im pretty sure that i didnt reach the optical connector on the inside with the pen.


Please guys give my some hope.

OK now i have locate the problem some more.
If i remove one of the cables to SATA disk then optical red light is on again.
If both cabels to SATA disk is pluged in optical red light dont shine.

I have a Seagate 320gb 7200rpm sata disk.
I have borrowed a 5400rpm but result the same.

As vrea sa stiu daca enigma are probleme cu transmiterea sunetului.De ce intreb asta, pentru ca am achizitionat un receiver Onkyo TX-SR706 si pe enigma nu merge corect.Pe aaf 2.0c sunetul vine corect si imi apare imediat pe recever ce fel de codare este : dolby 5.1 ,neo 6, etc
De pe enigma imi face tot timpul : All ch.stereo.; si asta dupa vreo 5 minute in care incearca sa vada ce fel de sunet vine;se comporta ca si cand sunetul nu vine chiar in standardul care trebuie si apoi nu are ce face , il da in stereo.
Repet , pe AAF vine ok. Am incercat sa setez din meniu fie PCM fie HDMI dar bu s-a intamplat nimic. Ce e mai deranjant ca dupa ce are sonor, daca mut pe alt canal o ia de la inceput cu "tacerea"

Prima data am testat pe imaginea E2 AAF SUSSEX var. BA, apoi am repus RSP 2.01 884.Aceeasi poveste.

Revin tot eu. Am incarcat e2 pe o alta kathy ( a unui prieten) si am constatat ca la el nu trebuie sa astept 5 minute ca sa am sonor. Chiar daca nu recunoaste dolby digital , totusi sonorul e instantaneu.
Curios, probabil ca va trebui sa pun din nou e2. La mine e pe HDD , iar la el pe stick.
Nu cred sa aibe vreo importanta asta, poate ar fi fost normal sa se intample chiar invers.
