ASTRA5B va fi lansat cu ajutorul rachetei Ariane 5 prevazuta in data de 06.12. 2013 , si va fi plasat pe pozitia orbitala 31,5 E.
ASTRA5B este echipat cu 40 de transpondere in banda KU si 6 transpondere in banda Ka

Astra 1G at 31.5°E -la ora actuala are o acoperie mult mai buna in partea de vest a europei in comparatie cu noul satelit respectiv ASTRA5B
ASTRA5B at 31.5°E -va avea acoperire buna pe partea de est a europei in defavoarea celei vestice(orange romania va pierde potentiali abonati romani aflati in vestul europei)

High winds at ground level prevented today’s transfer of the Ariane 5 launcher for Arianespace’s Flight VA216 mission with ASTRA 5B and Amazonas 4A, resulting in a 24-hour postponement of this mission from the Spaceport in French Guiana.

The Ariane 5 and its two telecommunications satellite payloads remain in a safe condition inside the Final Assembly Building. Its rollout from the facility to the Spaceport’s ELA-3 launch zone is now scheduled for tomorrow, enabling the countdown to begin for a liftoff on Saturday, March 22 at 7:04 p.m. local time during a launch window of 58 minutes.

ASTRA 5B is located in the Ariane 5 payload “stack’s” upper position and will be deployed first during the 34-minute flight sequence. It was built by Airbus Defence and Space for SES, and will operate from a 31.5 deg. East orbital slot.

Installed in the payload stack’s lower position, Amazonas 4A is an Orbital Sciences Corporation-produced satellite. It will be operated by HISPASAT from an orbital position of 61 deg. West.

Astra5B@31'5ºE poate fi receptionat in spania cu antene de dimensiuni mici 1m

Esta mañana (20-1-2015) el compañero Nowsat buscando Arabsat5A a 30'5ºEste, encontro por casualidad que podia sintonizar Astra5B a 31'5ºEste.
Este satelite oficialmente no llega a la peninsula, pero parece que no dicen toda la verdad.

Estas son sus huellas oficialmente.

La que dice la verdad y no se localiza nada de nada con 100cm desde Madrid.

La huella que llega mas lejos de lo que dicen los mapas es:High power.

Una pena que los canales sean de 2 plataformas de pago, se ve que alguno quiere llegar mas lejos.
Sobre 235 canales con la relacion de tp's que tengo y buscando en "red" para que busque informacion de la relacion de tp's de los 2 proveedores de servicion localiza 255 (277 canales si cargamos los multistreaming).

Acelasi transponder- antena 1.25m offset model technic B, satelit 31.5E Astra 5B, locatia Dobrogea, zona aflata in zona de acoperire oficiala... :) Nu stiu cat de realistica este harta cu zona de acoperire :(. Se vede ca acelasi nivel de semnal este receptionat aproximativ la fel din Dobrogea pana in Spania :????

Efectivamente, he sintonizado 224 canales. Sólo 2 en abierto: ProTV Intl y un feed. Los demás, codificados. Plataformas: Orange Romania y Magtisat (Georgia)

En 11914H27500 3/4 tenemos varios canales FTA, pero en multistreaming.
No todos los decos los pueden ver con Señal 78% Calidad 99%.
Resto de tp's que puedo sintonizar desde Madrid, con Calidad/AGC 99% todos.

nu s-a marit zona de acoperire ,nu au restrins-o deocamdata ; poate nici nu o vor restringe ca sa acopere zona mai mare si cine stie de unde mai apare vreun dth. Hartile cu acoperirea sint informative iar multe sint realizate inaintea lansarii satelitului si nu le mai confirma nimeni cu masuratori la nivelul solului -lucru nu chiar usor de realizat si care presupune ceva cheltuieli.
